Welcome to a new TGIF Challenge! This week, we have an inspiration challenge from the photo below. I decided to focus on the pretty layout and use one of my favorite Sale-A-Bration products, the Favored Flowers 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. You can earn this paper for FREE with a qualifying purchase of $50 through the end of February, while supplies last.
The Favored Flowers DSP is so pretty, and it coordinates with the Fragrant Flowers Bundle in the JA Mini Catalog. In fact, you can use the Fragrant Flowers Dies to cut out a whole sheet of printed flowers on the DSP. And that’s exactly what I did to decorate my Embossed Treat Bags below.
After cutting out the flowers, I layered them over Basic White Cardstock that I had watercolored with Blackberry Bliss and Fresh Freesia ink I also layered two additional leaf die-cuts watercolored with Evening Evergreen ink. It was that simple!
Because I saved so much time using the dies to cut out the flowers, I quickly made six of these treat bags. For a little bling, I added some silver Simply Elegant Trim and some of the new Iridescent Pastel Gems.
For my next bag, I used a different sheet of the Favored Flowers DSP. This time, I fussy cut the flowers. (I only made one of these!) I rather enjoy fussy cutting. I find it soothing, and it was so worth it. The flowers on this DSP are absolutely gorgeous!
This time, I watercolred the background with Calypso Coral and Petal Pink ink. The greetings and small geometric images on both bags are from the coordinating Fragrant Flowers Stamp Set.
I filled cello bags with Valentine’s Day treats and tied them with a bow to finish my treat bags.
